The last vessel blessed takes this on board to sail back to the harbor (maybe out to sea?). Each ribbon recognizes a fisherman or woman who lost their life in the previous year's fishing seaon. That basically means that for each ribbon on th wreath someone died, from Kodiak alone, fishing in 2007. |
